Site Description
The redevelopment of the former golf course and country club will include a new community hub, a 150-space car park, a convenience store, day nursery, and other commercial spaces. Additionally, the project will provide 150-200 residential dwellings, with 50% designated as affordable homes.
There is a significant opportunity to create new functional public open space by introducing a footpath that connects Bushey High Street through the proposed development and into a new dedicated area of green open space. This will enhance accessibility and encourage community engagement with nature.
The land, which is approximately 56 acres, is owned by Hertsmere Borough Council. The anticipated commercial space will be around 37,500 sq.ft, and the community space will be approximately 32,200 sq.ft.
